Two people were killed in Kyiv after debris from Russian drones struck a residential building, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. According to Klitschko, drone fragments hit the upper floors of a five-story building, setting several apartments on fire. Eight people were injured, including three children.
Four of the wounded were hospitalized, while the others were treated at the scene. Debris also ignited a fire in a nine-story apartment building and partially destroyed the upper floors of another high-rise, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. Russian forces also struck the city of Zaporizhzhia and several nearby towns overnight, according to the region’s governor, Ivan Fedorov.
Four people were injured. The strike destroyed one private home and damaged seven apartment buildings, 14 private houses, and several infrastructure sites, including critical facilities, Fedorov said.
