VE Day marks the day that the second world war ended in 1945, with 2025 marking 80 years since the historical occasion. To celebrate, a series of events are set to take place over that weekend including a large scale military flypast over Buckingham Palace. As the flight makes its way to the London residence it will fly over the West and North West of London including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Norfolk.
As part of their route, the aircrafts will travel through multiple areas in Berkshire and will seen from the ground. This includes, Reading, Bracknell, Windsor, Slough and Maidenhead on they're journey to Buckingham palace. Between 1:25pm and 2:10pm on Monday, May 5, the military fleet will flypast the areas in the East of Berkshire including Slough and Windsor.
Residents across West Berkshire and Reading can also keep an eye out for the military planes between 1:45pm and 2:25pm. It is expected to be quite a sight to see as everyone celebrates the very special anniversary of VE day.
