Taking place at Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan's Upper East Side, the pop star, 32, performed two tracks from her recently released album, Something Beautiful, as well as her Grammy Award-winning song "Flowers." At one point, as she performed the Billboard Hot 100 hit at the event — which was made possible by FANMADE — Cyrus joked that her loud vocals were reaching various floors of the building, including "the penthouse." Starting to wrap "Flowers," the Hannah Montana alum quipped, "It's time to get back to my penthouse," before she threw her microphone to the floor and strutted off, leaving behind her piano player, Mike Schmid, and guitarist, Jonathan Rado.

Alongside the previously released single "End of the World," Something Beautiful — which Cyrus produced alongside Shawn Everett — also features contributions from the likes of Brittany Howard (on "Walk of Fame") and Naomi Campbell (on "Every Girl You've Ever Loved"). Cyrus' boyfriend Maxx Morando also worked on the project, which was described as "introspective, sonically adventurous and emotionally grounded" in a press release.

Elsewhere during the event — which featured Morando, 26, on drums — Cyrus said Something Beautiful is "so reflective of my life and everything I’m experiencing," per the outlet.
Billboard reported that Cyrus also spoke about feeling as though she and her fans "really did grow up together," adding, "As we grow, there’s things we gain and things we leave behind – and I’ve never wanted that to be you."
