After a six-year hiatus from the Met Gala, Miley Cyrus made a triumphant return in an ab-flaunting look as she stepped out on the iconic steps on Monday night. The “Flowers” singer—who last made an appearance during fashion’s biggest night back in 2019 with then-husband Liam Hemsworth—showed off her sartorial interpretation of the evening’s "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" theme in a leather crop top paired with a dramatic trailing skirt, courtesy of Alaïa. While she posed alongside the fashion industry’s glitterati, Cyrus put her toned abs front and center with a long-sleeved black leather crop top that went all the way up to her ribs.
The Grammy award-winning singer, who is dating Maxx Morando, stepped out solo in a rock star-coded twist on dandyism. She paired her structured top with a long ruffled taffeta skirt, which trailed behind her as she walked. A pair of black indoor sunglasses (a nod to her Grammy Awards red carpet) and a statement beaded collar necklace finished off her Met Gala look.

Walking into the event with Hemsworth, who wore an all-black suit and tie, Cyrus’s asymmetrical green-and-black striped sparkly Yves Saint Laurent gown perfectly tied into that Met Gala’s "Camp" theme. She paired the whimsical look with sheer black polka-dotted tights, dangling earrings, and a touch of rock ‘n roll: Her towering black platform peep-toe heels, which added several inches to her stature.
