May is for Miracles: UM Health-Sparrow goes the extra mile for children like Riley

written by TheFeedWired

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – 14-year-old Riley Wooledge was a healthy, active teen in her first year of high school, participating in sports and band. She had some lab work done, which required her to return for retesting a few months later. She would later be diagnosed with cancer.

While she was undergoing treatments, her parents had two other children at home, and one of the way. That’s when UM-Health Sparrow stepped in and provided support. The community rallied around Riley and her family, with spontaneous acts of kindness.
