It has been revealed that Pepe will be playing a character named Antony Varghese in this film. With this, the makers have also confirmed that Kattalan will be releasing in theatres in multiple languages- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi, apart from Malayalam. Fans of the actor are expecting the makers to reveal a first look poster as well as details of the rest of the cast soon.

In spite of the outcry over the film's gory violence, the movie was a box office hit. The producer then pledged to reduce the level of violence in his subsequent films. In reply, Kattalan's director, Paul George, stated that it is impossible to make the movie without using any violence.
