Jenna Ortega’s 2025 Met Gala Dress Was Literally Made to Measure

written by TheFeedWired

Last night, Jenna Ortega arrived to the Met Gala in a shining metal dress custom designed by Balmain. Sleek and understated, the look was expertly sculpted—and perfectly on the nose for the carpet’s dress code, “Tailored For You.” “A poetical ode to couture and craftsmanship, her sleek sheath dress is crafted entirely from the metallic rulers used by pattern makers, placed vertically along the body to enhance the silhouette to create a bustier gown sculpted on her body,” Balmain explained in a statement. Ortega completed the look with a smoky eye, understated silver jewelry, and a perfectly crisp french manicure.

Fresh off her dark comedy film, Death of a Unicorn, the actress fully embodied Balmain’s edgy but humorous spirit. This is Ortega’s third Met Gala appearance. The Wednesday star first made her fashionable debut in 2022 for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and returned in 2023 for “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” wowing both times in custom Valentino and Thom Browne, respectively.

Ortega stepped out hand-in-hand with Sabrina Carpenter, who had also switched into a simple suit paired with a skinny tie, oversized canary-yellow jacket, and a matching Louis Vuitton Speedy. The duo made the trip downtown to attend A$AP Rocky’s party at Jeans in SoHo, alongside Rihanna and A$AP’s grandmother, making the evening a family affair.
