Home News Raymond Adams April 25th, 2025 – 10:38 PM The hunt will soon begin. The trailer for Predator: Badlands has been released by 20th Century Studios. Predator: Badlands is following in the footsteps of Prey, with director Dan Trachtenberg helming the project.

Prey brought the Predator franchise back to its roots, with a more primitive Predator stalking the lands occupied by a Native American tribe in the 1700s. Badlands showcases a shift in the perspective for the series. Ever since the original 1987 classic, the alien hunter has been the antagonist of each entry, with the characters having to overcome the challenge posed by it.

But for the first time, the predator itself has become the main character. The trailer didn’t shy away from showing the main Predator. With a complete gear setup one comes to expect, it faced off against several threats while showing it would not back down from any potential fight.

However, it seems that the Predator will have an unlikely ally in what seems to be an android. Following the success last year of Alien: Romulus, fans have been clamoring for both franchises to merge together once again. The supposed Android from the trailer, portrayed by Elle Fanning, bears several similarities to many of the synthetic humans from past Alien films, especially David Johnson’s character from Romulus.

With the similarities, fans are speculating if this is the first step towards another possible Alien Vs. Predator film. Predator: Badlands hits theaters November 7th.
