Though Conner Ives only made his ‘Protect the Dolls’ t-shirt the night before he wore it to close his AW25 show, the piece has come a very long way in the meantime. Since then, it’s been worn by the likes of Haider Ackermann, Troye Sivan and Addison Rae, has raised over $100,000 for US charity Trans Lifeline, and this week was worn to the London premiere of a new Marvel movie by Pedro Pascal. The red carpet moment garnered even more exposure for an already super popular t-shirt, and has spawned loads of Etsy copycats (but you can get the OG version here).
The t-shirt’s continued success is all the more pertinent considering the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in the UK, so it’s heartwarming to see celebs like Pascal continue to fly the flag (and call JK Rowling a “heinous loser” in the process). Not content with one look this week however, Pascal also slipped into a fresh-off-the-runway fit at a Star Wars event in Japan, donning full-look Acne Studios next to a shocked looking Sigourney Weaver, while Simon Porte Jacquemus has clearly been taking notes from TikTok’s “sandwich dressing”, strutting the streets of West Hollywood in a canary yellow worker’s jacket and matching boat shoes. As well as that, Dua Lipa took some time off her Radical Optimism tour to snap some IG selfies in Martine Rose, while Chappell Roan took on the guise of a Victorian dandy in Seán McGirr’s latest McQueen.
Over in NYC, Lorde took some time out of her busy new era launch to put on some new season Balenciaga and an archive Prada shoulder bag, Chloë Sevigny proved she’s the eternal cool girl in red and gold Vaquera, Miley Cyrus hit the sidewalk in a sleek Coperni gown, and Ice Spice launched her Mercedes Benz collab wearing the German designer Sia Arnika. And if all that wasn’t enough, Lotta Volkova, the world’s most in-demand stylist, was outshone by her Tabi-wearing, swagged-out mum. Scroll through the gallery below to see all the week’s best looks.
