<SIMPSON PRESIDENT JAY BYERS MADE SURE TO NEVER MISS A MOMENT THAT MEANT ATTENDING NEARLY EVERY SINGLE SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL. SO IT'S ONLY FITTING THAT THE TWO TEAMS FOUND A WAY TO REMEMBER HIM IN THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE WAY POSSIBLE… NOT INITIALS… NOT A NUMBER… BUT A BOW TIE.

A bowtie sticker on the back of every players helmet. <Everybody knows when they see the bowtie that's what it represents.> It represents the team's number one supporter. <BRENT MATTHIAS- SOFTBALL HEAD COACH-he was a fan.
He was a fan of these students win at things. in the class room on the ball field.> winning on the field is exactly what the softball team is doing… the team is 30-6. And What happened during our interview with head softball coach Brent Matthias… was astounding.
