The upcoming WWE Netflix documentary trailer has unknowingly revealed some nixed WrestleMania plans. Last week, on 19th and 20th April, World Wrestling Entertainment conducted one of the largest WrestleMania events of all time. While both nights conducted seven matches and involved several names on the roster, multiple others were left out.
In a recent trailer released for the promotion’s upcoming Netflix documentary, a whiteboard was shown with potential Mania matches, and it has caused a buzz. Fightful Select revealed that numerous wrestlers, whose names appeared on the whiteboard, discovered that they were once planned to be a part of the Showcase of the Immortals, through the event’s promotional trailer. Unfortunately, some talents did not appear on Mania or were even listed.
Fightful had shared a rundown recently of the matches, and in the week following the trailer dropping, and had heard from a number of talents. Several wrestlers also contacted Fightful, reporting that they had heard rumors of matches that subsequently occurred, despite the promotion never approaching them. Many in the promotion were also surprised to see Asuka’s name listed.
