At the time, a source told PEOPLE that they were "hanging out and getting to know each other.” Later that month, a source claimed the two met at an event in Europe earlier that year and had been seeing each other every week. However, they noted that it was “not serious” yet. "She is getting to know him," the insider said.

"Kylie is having fun. After years of back and forth with Travis, she just wants to date without any pressure." Jenner was in a long-term relationship before meeting Chalamet.

The Kardashians star had dated rapper Travis Scott off and on for six years before they went their separate ways in January 2023. They welcomed two children during that time: daughter Stormi and son Aire. Chalamet also has a high-profile dating history, having previously been linked to Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon and actress Lily-Rose Depp prior to Jenner.

A video obtained by TMZ captured them kissing on multiple occasions throughout the night, seemingly confirming the dating rumors. After several more sightings together, including at the 2023 U.S. Open and an afterparty for Chalamet’s 2023 Saturday Night Live hosting gig, the pair took their relationship to a new level when they shared a kiss for cameras at the 2024 Golden Globes, where Chalamet was nominated for his role in Wonka. Although they’ve remained private, Chalamet’s mom, Nicole Flender, made a rare comment about the couple during an interview with New York Magazine's Curbed in April of this year.

"I have to say she’s lovely. She’s very nice to me," Flender, who is a real estate agent, gushed. Then, in May, Jenner and Chalamet made their red carpet debut at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome, where the actor received the David for Cinematic Excellence honor.

Despite attending ceremonies such as the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the Oscars together, they had never made their entrance as a couple.
