The FBI is investigating the robbery of an armored vehicle Friday at a south suburban bank. Police responded just before 4:30 p.m. to the U.S. Bank at 11960 Western Ave. in Blue Island following reports that three men armed with handguns robbed an armored vehicle, according to the FBI. The robbers are described as three males in their late teens to early 20s with medium builds.

They wore dark-colored sweatpants and hooded sweatshirts, and light gray gloves, the FBI said. The thieves fled in a car and are still at-large, the FBI said.
