Blake Lively wore a plunging white gown with a divisive peplum design for her latest Another Simple Favor appearance. She joins a long list of celebrities who have embraced the millennial trend in recent months. During her appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Lively seemingly opened up about her legal proceedings with Justin Baldoni.
Blake Lively's press tour for Another Simple Favor continues—and with it, her collection of vacation-ready glam looks. While promoting the summery sequel, Lively has already rocked a mint green gown covered in cut-outs, a pale pink suit, a monochromatic yellow skirt and top, a vest paired with a pepperoni pizza purse, and a blue tweed mini skirt suit. While the actress may not be full-on method dressing, each of her looks hint at the sunny Capri setting of the film.
And her latest look follows suit—with a controversial twist. For her appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on May 1, Lively donned a plunging white gown that embraced a divisive Y2K trend: peplum. The dress featured a deep v-neck, a cinched waist, and a flouncy full midi skirt.
But the main point of interest was the ruffled layers that lay around the waist, giving the dress a distinctive peplum silhouette. She finished off the look by sweeping her signature curls into a half-up look that revealed a pair of dangly gold and turquoise drop earrings. She carried a white Chanel clutch covered in colorful pixelated logos and accessorized with a jeweled gold cuff and a statement stone ring.

Kendall Jenner also put her own spin on the trend with a deep red skirt suit that included a suit peplum waist. And that's not all: Demi Moore, Selena Gomez, Cynthia Erivo, and Kate Hudson have also hopped aboard the trend in recent months, too. In fact, Lively's latest look isn't even her first foray into peplum territory—just this week, she donned an all-black leather ensemble that included a subtle peplum waistline.

I see so many women around afraid to speak, especially now, afraid to share their experience.” She went on: "Fear is by design, it’s what keeps us silent. But I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak, so I do feel fortunate that I have been able to.” She concluded that she tries to stay positive for her four children.
