8 ‘You’ Season 5 Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed, Including Love’s Prediction Of Joe’s End

This article contains spoilers As season five of You rolls on, and we're seeing Joe's once perfect life in New York City with Kate, his son Henry and the wealth and security of the Lockwood corporation unraveling bit by bit – thanks to Bronte (Madeline Brewer) and his inability to keep his murderous sprees at bay. But the series is also filled with a load of Easter Eggs you might have missed. From callbacks to season one, subtle foreshadowing, crew members doubling as cast members and even Penn Badgley's wife Domino Kirke being involved in one episode, there's a lot to look out for.

FLEENOR/NETFLIX // Netflix Right before Love's (Victoria Pedretti) death in season 3, she tells Joe that their son Henry would one day know who he really is. Mooney's Bookshop Netflix Typically, the outside shots of Mooney's bookshop are filmed at Logos bookshop in Manhattan, however, for the scene where it burns down in the second last episode, a replica was made at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Bronte's Plan Netflix When we first meet Bronte, she's breaking into Mooney's under the guise of borrowing a book by Henrik Ibsen. Once it is revealed that she is catfishing Joe, it emerges she first suspected him of editing Beck's posthumous book because it featured a reference from Ibsen, an author that Bronte knew Beck was not a fan of.

The Three Musketeers Book Netflix In the very first season, Joe would often go out of his way to help his neighbour Paco, and his mother who was in an abusive relationship. One of the ways was through lending Paco books from Mooney's book shop. One of the books was The Three Musketeers, which he later gives to Henry in the final season.

Maddie's Former Husbands Netflix During the first episode, we're told that Maddie Lockwood has previously been married three times. What you may have missed is that all of her featured ex-husbands actually work on the series, including showrunner Michael Foley. Foreshadowing Of Joe Being Catfished Netflix In episode five, we learn that Bronte has been deceiving Joe about her real identity and true motives for getting close to him.

Halfway through the episode, Joe visits a diner where catfish is one of the daily specials – a subtle foreshadowing of Bronte's plan and Joe's eventual downfall. Penn Badgley's Wife's Song Taylor Hill // Netflix Since 2017, Penn Badgley has been married to his long term partner, Domino Kirke, who is a British-American singer. Her song 'Teething' features in episode eight.

Anna Camp's Body Double Netflix As many viewers will know, as identical twins, both Maddie and Reagan's characters are played by the same actor, Anna Camp. However, the actor had a body double, who also doubled as the podcaster who interviewed Phoenix and Dominique in episode 10 of the series.
